The “Common Man” Twist
This season is opening a door that past seasons haven’t emphasized as heavily: a real shot for non-celebrities. Around 40 aspirants are competing on “Bigg Boss: The Common Man,” a 21-episode pre-launch show airing on Vijay TV and streaming on JioHotstar, with weekday episodes at 10 pm and weekend episodes at 5:30 pm. Contestants face tasks testing personality, confidence, talent, and pressure-handling — with one or two commoners expected to earn a spot in the main house alongside the celebrity lineup.
Why This Matters
Blending celebrity casting with a genuine commoner-selection show gives Bigg Boss Tamil 10 a storyline before it even starts — will an unknown outshine the famous faces? With Vijay Sethupathi back as host and reported names like Aryan and Hema Rajkumar generating buzz, the season is shaping up to have one of its most talked-about lead-ins yet.
