Bigg Boss 20 September 8 Recap: Captaincy Clashes, an Ugly Arishfa-Amrapali Spat, and Four Fresh Nominations

The Bigg Boss 20 house turned up the drama on September 8, with a captaincy task gone tense, a heated face-off between two contestants, and a nomination round that left four housemates on edge.

Captaincy Task Sparks Early Friction

The episode opens with Love Gill questioning Qazi Touqeer’s decisions during the captaincy task, while Yung DSA and Qazi clash sharply over how the task is being run. By the end, three contestants — Yung, Aasif, and Kushal — emerge as the final contenders for captaincy, setting up a fresh power struggle in the house. For context on how the format works each season, Bigg Boss has long used contested tasks like this to decide house leadership.

Arishfa Khan and Amrapali Dubey’s Ugly Spat

Things escalate further when Arishfa Khan confronts Amrapali Dubey for calling her a “kid,” insisting she deserves more respect in the house. The exchange quickly turns bitter, with Amrapali firing back and Mahhi Vij jumping in, visibly upset at Arishfa’s remarks. Arishfa doesn’t hold back either, calling out the other housemates as hypocrites during the heated moment.

By the next day, tempers cool slightly — Amrapali voices her disappointment over how Mahhi spoke about the Bhojpuri film industry, while Arishfa offers Amrapali an apology, with Amrapali clarifying she never meant to belittle her.
