Taaza Khabar is making a comeback on Disney+ Hotstar with its second season. The Indian action-drama revolves around Vasant Gawde, a sanitation worker who discovers his ability to foresee the future and exploits it to acquire power and wealth, albeit at the expense of his relationships.
The title of the Hindi-language series, which means “fresh news” in English, is intricately woven into the storyline.

Taaza Khabhar Season 2 Continues with a Green Light from Hotstar Specials
Compared to hits like “Slumdog Millionaire” and “The Invention of Lying,” Taaza Khabar was recognized as a breakout success by Deadline Global last year upon its January launch, garnering strong viewership on the Indian streaming platform.
Now, it’s official that the second season of this Hotstar Special has been given the green light and is currently in production in India, with the series creators Bhuvan Bam and Rohit Raj’s BB Ki Vines Productions once again at the helm. Bam had previously hinted at plans for a second season during an interview with Deadline in February 2023.
Social media sensation Bhuvan Bam will reprise his role as Vasant (Vasya), joined by a talented ensemble cast including Shriya Pilgaonkar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Deven Bhojani, Shilpa Shukla, Prathmesh Parab, and Nitya Mathur in pivotal roles. Himank Gaur returns as director, while Hussain and Abbas Dalal are back to craft the scripts.

Bhuvan Bam, co-founder of BB Ki Vines alongside Rohit Raj, initially gained prominence as a YouTube personality and social media influencer. Since the inception of the series, his stature in India has markedly risen.
He expressed gratitude to the show’s audience and pledged to introduce more intricacies in the upcoming season.
