Why This Collaboration Is a Massive Deal

Let’s be clear — when Bhushan Kumar and Vivek Agnihotri work together, India pays attention. Agnihotri is the filmmaker who made The Kashmir Files — a film that earned over ₹340 crore at the box office and sparked a national conversation. He followed it up with The Tashkent Files and most recently The Bengal Files (September 2025), completing his Files trilogy that has redefined how India tells difficult, real-world stories on screen.

Bhushan Kumar, meanwhile, has been on an absolute roll — fresh off producing Border 2, the sequel to the iconic 1997 war film, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. A source close to the development confirmed: “Bhushan Kumar and Vivek Agnihotri have come together for their next film on Operation Sindoor. It will be produced under T-Series and I Am Buddha Production, and the film will be directed by Vivek Agnihotri.”
