The film is mainly based on a modern-day fairytale love story that connects fiction with reality and reveals a young man named Bhotbhoti, and a beautiful mermaid Ariel. We will see Rishav Basu in the lead role, and Bibriti Chatterjee in the role of mermaid Ariel. Bhotbhoti falls in love with Ariel.
Bhotbhoti belongs to a slum area situated on the banks of the Ganges. Bhotbhoti has a belief, and he is just obsessed with his belief that the mermaid lives in the river, this is just his fantasy, and everyone makes laughs at it until he meets with the mermaid Ariel. Instead of only a love story, the introduction with the mermaid brings a storm into his life. Bhotbhoti is an orphan boy who has neither a father nor even a mother.
He knows one mermaid in the River Ganges, he talks frequently by visiting under the water. Through the mermaid, he comes to know a new world exists under the water. Now the question arises whether he will be able to manage with other animals under the water.
Bhotbhoti has two sides, one is fantasy and the other side is real, and how the ending of the movie becomes merged to be seen confirmed by the director in the interaction with ETimes.
