Bharti Airtel Limited (www.airtel.in (https://www.airtel.in/)), a prominent telecommunications services provider, has announced its audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported a significant increase in consolidated quarterly revenues, attributing the growth to strong performances across its India and Africa operations.

Bharti Airtel: Key Financial Highlights

For the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27), Bharti Airtel reported consolidated revenues of Rs 58,539 crore, marking an 18.4% increase year-over-year and a 5.7% rise quarter-over-quarter.

The India business contributed significantly, with revenues reaching Rs 41,214 crore, up 9.7% year-over-year and 4.2% quarter-over-quarter. This growth was primarily driven by continued portfolio premiumization in Mobile services and sustained momentum in the Homes and Airtel Business segments.

The Consolidated Net Debt to EBITDA (annualized) ratio improved to 1.17 from 1.70 as of June 30, 2025.


Consolidated capital expenditure (capex) for the quarter was Rs 13,386 crore, with India capex accounting for Rs 9,698 crore.

Mobile Revenue in India grew 9.2% year-over-year, supported by an improved Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) and an increase in smartphone data customers.


Mobile ARPU reached an industry-leading Rs 264, up from Rs 250 in Q1 FY26.


Smartphone data customers increased by 21.1 million year-over-year and 5.0 million quarter-over-quarter, now representing 80% of total mobile customers.


Mobile data consumption saw a 36.0% year-over-year increase, reaching 34.4 GB per customer per month.


Postpaid net additions were robust at 1.0 million in Q1 FY27, marking the highest-ever quarterly additions for the company

Homes business recorded strong growth, with revenues up 33.2% year-over-year, driven by a focus on quality customers and convergence strategies, alongside 3.7 million net customer additions year-over-year.


Airtel Business delivered revenue growth of 12.0% year-over-year, fueled by strong orderbook execution and momentum in its digital services portfolio.


Digital TV revenues increased by 1.4% year-over-year, with IPTV acceleration supporting underlying growth.


Revenue from Passive Infrastructure Services rose 4.6% year-over-year, backed by new site rollouts and colocation expansions.

During the quarter, Bharti Airtel completed an EPS-accretive share swap transaction, increasing its stake in Airtel Africa PLC to over 79%.
