In India car sales have skyrocketed, while in February 2022, 1,25,333 units were sold but in February 2023, 1,51,448 units were sold, a 20.84% YoY increase. Yet compared to the 1,54,669 units sold in January 2023, sales were down 2.08 percent MoM. Once more, Maruti Suzuki automobiles dominated this list’s places. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno won the competition with sales of 18,592 units in February 2023, an increase of 47.91% over the 12,570 units sold in February 2022. With the production of 6,022 more Balenos, the brand maintained its 12.28% market share.

In January 2023, the Baleno, which was rated No. 4, saw an MoM rise of 13.66% over 16,357 units sold. The Swift ranked No. 2 despite sales falling 4.11% to 18,412 units in February 2023 from 19,202 units sold in February 2022. MoM sales grew by 12% above the 16,440 units sold in January 2023.
The Maruti Swift hatchback, which has been available for more than 15 years, will get the latest gen model. In February 2023, the Maruti Suzuki Alto, which had been top in January 2023, had dropped to third. It increased YoY by 56.82% from 11,551 units sold in February 2022 to 18,114 units.
