Myke Hurley revealed information on the upcoming Beats Studio Pro wireless over-ear headphones on the Apple-related podcast “Connected” last week (via Reddit). The release date is set for July 19. Hurley claimed to have learned the information from a reliable anonymous source who has previously provided information about the Beats Studio Buds+ headphones.

According to Hurley’s source, the Studio Pro will be available in four colours: black, navy, sandstone, and deep brown, and leaked photographs from @aaronp613 suggest the headphones will look quite similar to the Beats Studio3. The headphones are reported to have a USB-C charging port rather than a micro-USB port, updated microphones, optimised sound profiles, a new carrying case, and compatibility for Android features like Fast Pair and Find My Device.

The Beats Studio Pro, like the Studio Buds+, will most likely have greater active noise cancellation and a longer battery life. According to an early reseller listing, the Beats Studio Pro would cost roughly €399 in Europe, which is the same price as the Studio3. This implies that the headphones will most likely cost around $349.95 when they are released in the United States. The Studio3 has Apple’s W1 chip, but it’s uncertain which chip the Beats Studio Pro will use.

In recent weeks, evidence of the Beats Studio Pro appeared in macOS 13.4 code and an FCC file, but Beats has yet to publicly acknowledge them. The headphones would be a long-overdue upgrade to the Studio3, which was released in 2017.
