The annual general meeting also agreed that they would no longer pay extra money to guest players in state divisions. The player’s would only receive the match fees from the coming year.

With the steady growth of streaming services across the country and the fact that it is a World Cup year, the Indian cricket board will receive a massive boost in revenue this year itself. They have also won the Asia Cup and have hosted a number of series in the country, which will further improve the revenue of the board.

This helps the BCCI continue their reign as the richest cricket board in the world, owing to the massive popularity of the sport in the country.
