The Spanish La Liga club giants Barcelona strongly started their US Tour 2022 by recording a thumping 6-0 win against the MLS side Inter Miami last Tuesday (19th July).
A total of 24 players appeared in that match for Barcelona including the newly signed Pablo Torre, Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen and Raphinha along with Ousmane Dembele. Just joinee Polish football legend Robert Lewandowski was expectedly on the sideline during that entire game. The 33-year-old is likely to play his first game in a Barca jersey this Sunday (24th July), when they will face their Spanish rivals Real Madrid at Allegiant Stadium (Nevada).
Barcelona completely dominated over David Beckham’s Inter Miami
In the dominating game against Inter Miami, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Catalan club’s joint leading goal-scorer last season, scored their opening goal of the match in the 19th minute.
Raphinha (25’) and Ansu Fati (41’) added one goal each to that scoreline during the first half of that match.
In the second half, the teenager Gavi made the scoreline to 4-0 in the 55th minute. Barca’s leading goal-scorer in the 2021/22 La Liga as well as the complete season (joint-leading scorer), Memphis Depay stretched that scoreline to 5-0 in the 69th minute.
Just a minute later, Dembele extended that scoreline to 6-0.
Shining names for Barca
Apart from scoring one goal, the new joinee Raphinha also recorded two assists in that game. On the other hand, Depay also had one assist in that pre-season game. Midfielder Franck Kessie also impressed during that match.
Inter Miami struggled
Gonzalo Higuain’s Inter Miami had no shots on target during that entire game. In the meantime, the Spanish club managed eight shots on target out of their 20+ shots in that complete match.
Legendary English footballer David Beckham’s son Romeo Beckham also participated in that game for his father co-owned club Inter Miami.

After playing against Real Madrid (24thh July), Barcelona will also face the Italian giants Juventus (27th July) and the MLS team New York Red Bulls (31st July) in the forthcoming encounters in the ongoing US Tour 2022.
