The transfer rumours linking Lionel Messi to PSG have been running rampant for the last few weeks. Addressing those rumours, Paris’s Sporting DirectorLeonardo said that a chair will be reserved for Messi at the French capital, hinting at a possible move for the Argentine superstar.

Speaking on the future of the six-time Ballon d’Or winner, Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio said that we will have to wait a little longer to truly assess the situation surrounding Messi and whether or not he will continue to play for Barcelona, on their Here We Go podcast on Patreon.

The duo reiterated that Neymar wasn’t joking when he said he wanted to play with Messi next season. Paris are reportedly ready to try for Messi, but the final decision will be made after the new Barcelona President comes into office. The elections are scheduled to be held in the upcoming week and will be a turning point in the fortunes of the club, without a doubt.

Whoever becomes the new Barcelona President will have to discuss the new project that will be in place at the club, since it would determine Messi’s future. Leo wants to win trophies, and the Blaugrana’s recent loss to Bilbao in the final of the Supercopa did not do the club captain’s ambitions any favours.
