Barcelona dropped down to one more point as the match against Eibar was held to a draw at Camp Nou and slipped to 6th position. They currently have 25 points which is their lowest points tally in 17 years.

Barca’s lowest points tally before this season was under Frank Rijkaard during the 2003-2004 campaign when they managed to collect only 20 points at the early stage. That season, the club’s recovery was seen in the second half of the campaign to finally finish in the second position with 72 points from 38 matches.

Fati, Coutinho and Messi impress as Barca break the curse of Balaidos

This season has been a total disappointment for curlers, as in 17 years this has been the lowest points tally with just 25 points, from their opening 15 rounds of league matches. Meanwhile, Eibar had only earned one point against Barca in 12 previous fixtures, and the first point at Camp Nou yesterday.

After their rock-solid first half, Barça continued to put the pressure on but as time went on, the creativity became desperation and it was hard to find clear-cut chances against a well-organized Eibar defense during the second half in the match against Eibar.

Seems like Koeman’s system is not working out, Koeman is failing to properly strategize things up, and also the player position seems to be not working and the team lineup is also not up to the scratch.

The only thing is that the more pressure is on Koeman, whose job must be hanging by a thread now. The presidential elections are also coming up on 24th January and many candidates have clearly voiced their dislike against Koeman and want to bring in a new manager in order to bring the glory days back at Camp Nou.
