Barcelona are in talks with the agent of Raphinha for a potential move in the summer. The Brazilian has been linked with a switch to Camp Nou at the end of the season, and would be the replacement for Ousmane Dembele, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
The Frenchman is no closer to renewing his deal, and it seems like he will be walking out as a free agent in the summer. So, Raphinha would be the direct replacement for the pacey winger.
Raphinha in talks with Barcelona
With 9 goals and 3 assists in 27 Premier League games, the 25-year-old has been Leeds United’s best player this season. His attacking spark has helped the Yorkshire club stay resolute in the battle to survive in the top flight.
But, if Leeds do end up returning to the Championship, the release clause set for the player would decrease. The new amount would be around €20 million, which would be quite affordable considering the current state of the transfer market.
No formal talks have begun with Leeds United as of yet. However, it seems a matter of time before the two clubs are in negotiations for the winger.
Barcelona were also considering a move for Antony from Ajax. But, with David Neres already sold, the Dutch side want a sizable fee, which Barca don’t want to match. So, they are waiting to try and sign a more affordable option in Raphinha.
