Barca is keen to sign Paul Pogba for a transfer of £100M

Reports say that FC Barcelona ramping up their attempts to sign Paul Pogba and have tasked Mino Raiola with presenting a £100million offer to Manchester United

Jose Mourinho has been bemoaning Manchester United’s lack of transfer signings this summer. But, the transfer of Paul Pogba is surely concerning him the most before the transfer deadline ends on Thursday. Poga has been eyed for a transfer move to the Catalan giants Barcelona and the mighty Juventus.

The French midfielder had several bust-ups with manager Jose Mourinho last season. It’s likely that his future at Old Trafford is just unsure. Pogba is also missing the Manchester United squad that is playing the pre-season in the ICC matches.

He had an amazing World Cup 2018 and is one of the key players for the side. This amazing form of Pogba has made buyers more keen to sign him on their sides.

Negotiation Status:

Pogba’s agent, Raiola, is jetting into Manchester from the United States. There he was meeting Zlatan Ibrahimovic. According to TuttoSport, the Catalan giants have already made the first official approach.
Pogba believes that going either to Barca, who have watched him since 2015, or Juve, who are reported to have made “a spectacular offer” to bring him back, will give him a fresh start.

After losing the battle for Chelsea’s Willian, Barca believes that they could entice Pogba with considerable wages. They would likely have to pay a transfer fee of more than £100m to sign him.

On the other hand, Juventus, who has created headlines after buying Ronaldo, would be willing to offer a player such as Miralem Pjanic to United to aid negotiations. If Mourinho cannot prise Pjanic away from Turin, his backup option is Marco Verratti who could be allowed to leave PSG.

Pogba who has not joined his side since World Cup. He has reportedly met with Barca sporting director Eric Abidal in Los Angeles earlier this summer. He has been tempted by the prospect of filling the void left by Andres Iniesta and inheriting his iconic No.8 jersey.
