Indian Government Asked 77 questions to 59 Chinese apps 2_TechnoSports.co.in

The Indian Government already banned 106 Chinese applications in India, considering the national security issue. It is done in two phases, 59 application in the first stroke which includes the famous short video making app TikTok, and 47 other in the second stroke. Now, both Baidu and Weibo faced the same.

These two were on the first ban list – if you are going to ask this, here is the answer. First, let you know, Baidu is China’s largest search engine and Weibo is a micro-blogging site of China. Earlier, there was Weibo, Baidu Maps, and Baidu Translate on the banned application list, the Baidu app was not there. Besides, only the applications were banned, not web services. This time, the government banned the services, along with the Baidu application.

The Indian Government continuously asking the Internet Service Providers to block these sites on their networks. The same thing may happen to other Chinese services too in the coming days. Need to say, this new ban is not fully applied yet. Not sure about the web service, but the Baidu app is there in the Google Play Store. Not to worry, all will be fixed soon.

Both Weibo and Baidu are in trying to expand to India. Baidu CEO, Robin Li, on his visit to the IIT-Madras campus last January said his company is willing to collaborate with the Indian Technology institutions, mainly to work on AI and mobile computing sectors.
