AYA NEO 2 GEEK is the new addition to the Handheld Gaming Device army of AYANO

Following the release of the AYA NEO 2, NEO Slide, NEO AIR, and AYA NEO AIR Plus, AYA NEO has introduced another handheld gaming system. Interestingly, the business has subsequently stated that there will be other AYA NEO AIR Plus models, which will be explored individually.

AYA NEO has now introduced the AYA NEO 2 GEEK to its product lineup, which it categorizes as “affordable premium.” The AIR Pro and NEXT, on the other hand, are flagship and ‘top premium’ offerings, respectively. The AYA NEO 2 GEEK is essentially a smaller version of the AYA NEO 2, but with a thicker, presumably more ergonomic casing.

AYA NEO 2 GEEK comes powered by AMD Ryzen 7 6800U APU

The AYA NEO 2 GEEK is based on AMD’s rDNA 2 graphics architecture and uses Ryzen 5 6600U and Ryzen 7 6800U APUs with Radeon 660M and Radeon 680M integrated GPUs. The AYA NEO 2 GEEK also offers a 7-inch display with a resolution of up to 1200p, much like the normal NEO 2.

The former’s display, on the other hand, is described as ‘ultra narrow’ by AYA NEO, presumably referring to small display bezels. In addition, the AYA NEO 2 GEEK has a gyroscope, handle, joystick, motor, and Wi-Fi modem that are inferior to the standard AYA NEO, as well as an unnamed special feature.’ Despite this, the AYA NEO 2 GEEK includes USB 4 connectivity, a fingerprint scanner, and microSD card expansion.

In China, the AYA NEO 2 GEEK can already be pre-ordered for CNY 4,099 if you get an early bird spot. The machine will also be available for CNY 4,999, which is the same price as an entry-level Ryzen 5 6600U device. AYA NEO, on the other hand, has verified that the machine would cost at least $699 in the United States, with early bird orders costing $619.

A Ryzen 7 6800U-powered machine, on the other hand, will cost CNY 5,288 in China and US$799 in the US. AYA NEO currently plans to start shipping AYA NEO 2 GEEK orders in 2023.
