Avengers: Endgame Encore Box Office: Rs 30.75 Crore in 5 Days and India’s Biggest Hollywood Re-Release

Some films don’t need a new story to bring a crowd back. Avengers: Endgame Encore collected an estimated Rs 2.50 crore on its fifth day, its first Tuesday, matching Monday and showing a steady hold. The running total now stands at about Rs 30.75 crore gross in India, according to Pinkvilla’s trade tracking.

Avengers: Endgame Encore: A New Record for Hollywood Re-Releases

The film has already become the No. 1 Hollywood re-release grosser at the Indian box office, beating the previous record set by Interstellar. For a film that has been available to audiences for years, that’s a strong sign that the pull of the Avengers: Endgame story still holds. Fans clearly want to relive it on the big screen.

How the Days Looked?

The first three days did most of the work. The film opened with Rs 8 crore and climbed to Rs 9 crore on Saturday, with Rs 8.75 crore on Sunday. Weekdays dropped to Rs 2.50 crore on both Monday and Tuesday. That’s a typical pattern for a re-release built on nostalgia, with a big weekend followed by a steady weekday base. These figures exclude 3D, and they’re estimates rather than final numbers.

Heading Toward Rs 34 Crore

Based on current trends, the film is set to finish its first week at around Rs 34 crore gross. How much further it goes depends heavily on how it holds when Drishyam: The Conclusion arrives. The Gandhi Jayanti holiday is expected to give both films a boost, but the new release is likely to take a big share of screens.

Can It Become India’s Biggest Re-Release Ever?

There’s a bigger target in sight. The film has a good shot at becoming the biggest re-release of all time in India by beating Sanam Teri Kasam‘s Rs 42 crore record. It won’t be easy, though. Drishyam 3 might push it out of many cinemas, which would limit its final total. Reaching that record would need a strong second-week hold.

What It Means for Marvel?

The strong response is also good news for Avengers: Doomsday, slated to release later this year. It shows that Marvel still has serious box office pull in India, after a stretch when the brand seemed to lose some of its shine.
