Avengers: Doomsday ScreenX Trailer: Is Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye Return Hiding in Plain Sight?

One staircase in a trailer, and the whole MCU fandom is zooming in. The expanded ScreenX trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has fans wondering whether a familiar Phase 4 hero is quietly returning. Here’s the clue, why it may be a false alarm, and why the theory still has legs. For more Marvel and Hollywood news on Technosports, keep reading.

The Clue That Started It All

The ScreenX version of the trailer uses a three-wall, 270-degree format that shows extra image on the sides. Fans focused on a heartfelt moment between Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Kathryn Newton’s Cassie Lang. The pair appear to stand in a classic New York apartment with a metallic staircase, which resembles the one in Hawkeye and The Marvels, where Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop lived with Lucky the Pizza Dog.

Why It Might Not Be Kate’s Apartment

The fan theory has a hole. In the ScreenX shot, the stairs run alongside the kitchen, but in Hawkeye the kitchen is much more minimal. Unless Kate did major redecorating, this probably isn’t her home. Some had guessed it was a goodbye scene before the heroes split up, with the Young Avengers gathering to suit up, but the evidence doesn’t support that either.

Why Bishop Could Still Return

Even with the apartment debunked, there are solid reasons to expect her. Cassie Lang is the only future Young Avenger confirmed for Doomsday, and there’s mounting evidence that Ms. Marvel is coming too. It’s hard to picture Kate staying behind when a new team forms. A rumored cast list also named Steinfeld in the ensemble, though her role remains unconfirmed.

Commentator Robert Meyer Burnett has said Ms. Marvel will have a “cameo-esque role,” which suggests Bishop may get a similarly small part. The Young Avengers’ bigger mission may even belong to Secret Wars, with Doomsday mainly uniting them.

Could Two Hawkeyes Return?

Jeremy Renner is absent from the announced cast, yet he recently posted a cryptic photo that hints he may suit up again. He is already confirmed for the 2028 Avengers: Infinity Defense ride, so a big-screen return is plausible but unconfirmed.
