Doomsday is hogging the spotlight, but Disney+’s VisionQuest may be the quieter surprise of the year. The WandaVision follow-up looks like a modest cast of familiar faces. Look closer and there’s a whole Avengers roster hiding in it.

The Avengers Hiding in VisionQuest

Character	MCU Role	Comic Avengers Link
Vision	White Vision, rebuilt by SWORD	Longtime member, once led the West Coast Avengers
Speed (Tommy Maximoff)	Wanda’s speedster son	Fought with the Young Avengers
Jocasta	New AI villain (T’Nia Miller)	Started as Ultron’s “bride,” later joined the team
Human Torch (Jim Hammond)	Returns after a First Avenger cameo	Fought beside Cap in the Invaders and Secret Avengers

Meet the Team

Vision: After dying to Thanos in Infinity War, he was rebuilt by SWORD, then left Westview behind after the chaos of WandaVision. This series checks in on him and could set him up to rejoin the Avengers. In the comics, he’s never let his dark origins stop him from fighting for justice. You can read his full history on Wikipedia.

Speed: Tommy follows his brother Billy’s lead by going looking for answers from his father. His superspeed is his trademark, just like in the comics, where he joined the Young Avengers alongside Iron Lad, Stature, Patriot and his brother Wiccan.

Jocasta: Marvel is keeping her details quiet, but the comics offer clues. Ultron built her to spite Hank Pym, and she caused the Avengers trouble before earning a place on the team. She struggled to connect with her teammates but proved her loyalty in battle.

Human Torch: Fans spotted the original Torch at the Stark Expo in Captain America: The First Avenger. His role here is a mystery, but his comic history suggests he’ll be on the side of good. He began as an android who didn’t work right at first, then chose to help humanity.

Doom-sized stakes: With Ultron also in the mix, Vision faces threats from both his past and the future.
Family drama: A father-and-son reunion gives the show its emotional core.
Deep cuts: Bringing back forgotten characters like Jim Hammond rewards longtime fans.
