Diljit Dosanjh has announced a concert at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the largest stadium in India, scheduled for 21 November 2026. The Punjabi singer made the announcement live on stage during his sold-out performance at London’s Wembley Stadium on 12 September, as part of his ongoing Aura World Tour.

Making History at Wembley First

Before announcing the Ahmedabad show, Diljit made history of his own in London, becoming the first Punjabi artist to headline Wembley Stadium in front of a sold-out crowd of 90,000. He opened the show with a variation of his signature catchphrase, telling the crowd, “Punjabi Aa Gaye Wembley Oye!” before performing a set that stretched over two hours and included hits like G.O.A.T., Lover, Hass Hass, and Born to Shine.

It was during this landmark performance that Diljit turned his attention to India, referencing Coldplay’s own sold-out show at Narendra Modi Stadium earlier in the year. Addressing the crowd, he said the biggest stadium in the world is in India, and that if a foreign band could sell it out, a Punjabi artist performing there was simply inevitable. He then confirmed the Ahmedabad date on the spot.

He previously made history by headlining Vancouver’s BC Place in April 2024, drawing a sold-out crowd of 54,000 in what was then the largest Punjabi music concert held outside India, before later adding a show at Toronto’s Rogers Centre as well. His Aura World Tour has continued that trajectory, with the Wembley show marking another major milestone ahead of his return to Indian shores.
