ATK Mohun Bagan keep AFC Cup qualification hopes alive as Gokulam Kerala stumble to 1-0 loss

Gokulam Kerala took on Maziya Sports in their second game of the AFC Cup, while ATK Mohun Bagan faced off against Bangladeshi champions Bashundhara Kings. Here is what went down in their respective games.

ATK Mohun Bagan 4-0 Basundhara Kings

Liston Colaco scored a hat-trick at the Salt Lake Stadium as his team cruised to a 4-0 win against Bangladesh’s Basundhara Kings in their group D game. The winger had to wait for the storm to pass before he could start scoring, and eventually, he did so thrice in the game.

David Williams, who recently signed for Mumbai City FC, came on as a substitute for Juan Ferrando’s side and scored the other goal. ATK Mohun Bagan’s defense looked much more composed as they defeated Kings to keep their hopes of making it to the top of the table alive.

Maziya Sports 1-0 Gokulam Kerala

The win for Maziya Sports in their game against Gokulam has blown the group wide open. Every team in the group has three points each, and has equal chances of making it to the next round of the competition as a result.
