When Acer launches Swift series with latest 8th gen Intel processors, ASUS revamps their Zenbook S to offer up to 20 hrs of battery life
ASUS, the Taiwanese electronics giant, brings their latest Zenbook S that has the latest Intel Mobile processors. Already Acer made a move to revamp their old laptop series and now has ASUS.
At the IFA 2018 held at Berlin, Germany, top electronic gadgets and models are being spotted that will soon hit the market. The new age Intel processors do not show a massive in an increase in performance, but they are more versatile and sophisticated.

Design & Build

There’s a new cooling design, that allows it to run 41 degrees cooler than the previous ZenBook S generation, The laptop is notably light and just weighs 2.31 pounds and measures just 0.50 inches thin.
Display
The new Zenbook S features a 13.3-inch touchscreen that has a high resolution of 3,840 x 2,160. There are more 2 variants of the laptop that has a 13.3-inch touchscreen and has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. The basic version has an anti-glare non-touch display.
Interestingly, the whole display of the laptop is backed by Intel’s sole integrated graphics only…
Performance
The new ASUS ZenBook S is powered by the new Intel Core i7-8565U chip which replaces the Core i7-8550U chipset. The new Intel Core i7-8565U chip features a four-cores with a base speed of 1.8GHz, a maximum speed of 4.5GHz. It has a very low TDP of 15 watts.
The other variants of the laptop are equipped with the new Core i5-8265U, replaces the Core i5-8250U that was also released last year. It is also a four-core chip with a base speed of 1.6GHz, a maximum speed of 3.9GHz.
The laptops are paired with 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR3 system memory clocked at 2,133MHz.
Battery Life & others
The Zenbook S has a huge battery life of 20 hours, which is much because of Intel’s new revolutionary 8th gen processor.
Also, due to the new chipset, you can expect: 12x faster Wi-Fi with integrated Gigabit Wi-Fi, 4K UHD content support, faster RAM, 10.5X video transcoding speed, & 1.8x better web performance.
There are more connectivity options like PCIe 3.0, integrated USB 3.1, Thunderbolt 3, Intel Optane memory supports.
Also, you can expect the standard Windows 10 to be the primary OS. The images also reveal the existence of the Finger-print scanner on the trackpad…
Well, there’s no news about the price and release dates of the new laptop series. But, as the Zenbook series is the most premium series by ASUS, so you can expect a high price, much like the Macbook…
