The ROG Phone 6 Series will be the successor to the Phone 5 Series which had three phones in the lineup, the vanilla variant, the Rog Phone 5 Pro, and the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. All three devices feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC.

ASUS is also expected to unveil the ROG Phone 6 Series in three different models which will be the vanilla ROG Phone 6, Phone 6 Pro, and Phone 6 Ultimate. All three phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC.

The newest chip is highly anticipated as in comparison to the regular 8 Gen1 chip, it performs much better and is more efficient in terms of battery life as well. Qualcomm has now turned to TSMC to manufacture its chip which has benefitted it as their chips perform 10% better in terms of CPU performance and GPU performance by 10% for the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1.
