ASUS has recently launched a service that is making waves in the gaming laptop industry. Currently, this service is only available, in mainland China. What makes this offering unique is its focus on addressing concerns related to purchasing which holds importance for gamers who heavily rely on their laptops.

All About the ASUS Free Offering

According to the company if users come across issues such as throttling with their purchased ROG laptops they have the option to bring their device to an authorized service center and get the thermal solution replaced at no additional cost. However, it’s worth noting that this service is presently limited to ASUS models. You can find all the details of this offer, in the list:

This service primarily applies to ASUS’ top-tier ROG Zephyrus DUO, ROG Strix, and ROG Flow series, which feature advanced CPUs like AMD Ryzen 7000 HX (Dragon Range) and Intel 14th Gen HX (Raptor Lake). These laptops are known for their desktop replacement designs, boasting significantly higher Thermal Design Power (TDP) values compared to conventional laptop SKUs.

Therefore, it makes sense to provide this offer to users investing in such high-performance laptops. ASUS has also hinted at plans to expand this service to more laptop models in the near future. Notably, the top-tier AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX chip can reach up to 120W, while the Intel Core i9-13980HX can peak at a power consumption of up to 157W.

While some may be disappointed by the availability of this service it’s worth noting that ASUS seems to be testing its effectiveness before expanding it globally. This proactive move aims to improve the company’s image. This could lead to a broader rollout of the service, in the future. While it’s not common to hear about problems, with temperatures and faulty thermal solutions I must commend ASUS for taking an approach that shows their commitment, to ensuring customer satisfaction.
