ASUS Unveils Next-Gen ROG Zephyrus & TUF Gaming Laptops Powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300, Starting at $1,200 USD

ASUS brings in high-end ROG Zephyrus and TUF Gaming laptops with AMD Ryzen AI 300 APU platform, earlier from $1200. AMD Ryzen AI 300 APUs are nearly here, and the brand new architecture from ostensibly the best APU for gaming is finally out in manufacturer form as well.

Earlier this year, ASUS announced a slew of laptop models including the ZenBook, VivoBook, and ProArt series powered by the same chips. Fast forward, and ASUS is emphasizing its top-flight ROG-series portables as well as the more mainstream TUF Gaming laptops.

The All New ASUS Next-Gen ROG Zephyrus & TUF Gaming Laptops

The newest gaming laptop to grace the global market is the fresh TUF A16 from China which features a number of AMD’s Ryzen processors, including AI 9 365 and AI Ryzen HX for better performance. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is a powerful 12-core, 24-thread processor with boost clocks reaching up to 5.1 GHz. It features the Radeon 890M integrated GPU with 16 compute units, providing impressive single-core performance for mobile applications.

The new ASUS TUF A16 and ROG Zephyrus laptops come equipped with discrete GPUs, such as the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070. They support up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory and include two M.2 SSD slots for ample storage and connectivity. The TUF A16 features a 16-inch display with 2.5K resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits of brightness, while the ROG Zephyrus model sports a similar 14-inch screen.

Connectivity comes by way of Thunderbolt 4 (USB4), HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C with a port for the PD spec rated up to 100W, and an audio combo jack out your listening capabilities It features a sleek design and top performance, with two available colors of white or frosty blue. Meanwhile, the ASUS TUF A16 costs a little more at 8,999 RMB ($1,237) for its RTX 4060 version and the ROG Zephyrus G14 is also slightly more at just under 9,999 RMB ($1374) for the RTX 4060 model. The higher-end ROG Zephyrus G14 with RTX 4070 is priced at 11,999 RMB ($1,649). Currently, these models are only available in China, with global availability and launch details yet to be announced.
