Ashes 2021-22: Australia wins big over England by 275 runs and takes a 2-0 lead

Australia defeated England by 275 runs and won the series for 2-0. They wrapped up the win on the fifth day at Adelaide Oval. England had a total of three sessions of batting. Jos Buttler had an amazing resistance of 26 runs off just 207 balls. Buttler and Chris Woakes had a great partnership, the latter made 44 runs.

Joe root’s team did well until the game’s final session when Jos Buttler was battling away for more than four hours before getting the stumps. Australia’s win actually showed the difference between the two teams.

Pat Cummins and Steve Smith led the Australian team and now they can finish another home Ashes win when the third Test gets under the way.

Chris Woakes’ 44 was the highest individual score in England’s abject second innings batting display, while Jos Buttler frustrated Australia for a while with a dogged 26 off 207 balls.

Jhye Richardson was the best pick for Australian bowlers who got 5 wickets giving only 42 runs.

The Australian team had an amazing constructed innings and there has been a slow but steady moving over a period of time. The amazing batting that the Australian players did had already made the audience predict the future. The declaration was merely about the timing in total.

Marnus Labuschagne, the Australian cricketer said. “This is certainly one, managing the night session and managing the tougher times to bat and the easier times to bowl and vice-versa.”
