Armando Broja is close to leaving Chelsea for West Ham United, with the two clubs in talks over his transfer. The player has left Chelsea’s preseason camp in America and has returned to England as his future gets sorted out.

Chelsea are currently without a recognised number 9, following the departure of Romelu Lukaku. But, the player has been insistent on a move away from the club in search of regular playing time. And by the looks of things, that is what he’ll get on the other side of London.

A £30 million deal is being discussed for the Albania international. Further talks are also being held for a buyback clause, or a sell-on clause.

Thomas Tuchel was insistent that the youngster would not be sold this summer. But after pushing for a move away himself, it seems that he won’t be a part of the squad for the coming season.

Armando Broja spent the 21/22 season on loan at Southampton, scoring nine goals as he caught the eye of several teams in the country. The Saints wanted to bring him back into their fold, but West Ham United have been more active in discussions over his transfer. And in the coming days, a final agreement is expected to be confirmed.

Chelsea are seemingly going with Kai Havertz and Timo Werner as their main strikers for the coming season.
