This year’s WWDC event will take place on June 6 at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. Apple will reveal a slew of new software updates for developers, including iOS 16, iPadOS 15, macOS 13, watchOS 9, and much more. Furthermore, there is a good probability that the corporation may unveil new hardware at its event.

The event will run from June 6 to June 10 and will provide developers and engineers the opportunity to try out the new tools. The company will have a series of video sessions with developers and engineers to help them better grasp the tools they may use to create applications and other software.

Here’s what you will expect from Apple

iOS 16

As previously stated, Apple will have an online event on June 6 to showcase its next software release. Furthermore, we have previously reported that the corporation may showcase new hardware. It’s unclear whether Apple will reveal the next MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or Mac Pro. The event will run from June 6 to June 10 and will provide developers and engineers the opportunity to try out the new tools. The company will have a series of video sessions with developers and engineers to help them better grasp the tools they may use to create applications and other software.

iPadOS 16

New multitasking features are said to be included in iPadOS 16. This is because the iPad gets quicker with each upgrade, and the current M-series processors are more than capable of handling full-fledged software like Photoshop or Final Cut Pro. Apple is also said to be working on a new multitasking interface, according to reports. This could help to bridge the gap between iPadOS and macOS, something customers have been waiting for.

macOS 13

As it did last year with SharePlay and Shortcuts, macOS 13 might potentially steal functionality from iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. While no precise details are known, we can expect revamped icons and enhancements across the board in macOS 13 at WWDC 2022. To unify the aesthetics across the board, Apple might harmonize the look of macOS with that of iOS and iPad. This is because Apple Silicon allows us to run native iOS and iPadOS apps on the system, and it would only make sense if the entire system was designed to be seamless.

watchOS 9

WatchOS 9 is scheduled to debut at the WWDC event in 2022 with a new power-saving mode that minimizes the wearable’s power usage. The new model does not restrict the device’s functionality, but it does reduce power consumption to extend battery life. In terms of health and fitness, watchOS 9 is likely to broaden atrial fibrillation detection to assess “burden,” or how long a person is in the condition regularly. Aside from that, Apple will update the Training app with new workout kinds and analytics. In terms of graphics, the business may introduce new watch faces to give the device a new look.

tvOS 16

Apple’s iMac Pro is expected to be released this summer, according to rumors. We expect Apple introduces it at the WWDC 2022 event, even though reports about it have dwindled owing to production issues. Aside from that, new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, powered by Apple’s new M2 CPUs, are expected. A new design is predicted for the next MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models.
