A few das ago we had come across a news of Apple’s plan to on its next iPhone SE model that will be introduced somewhere within 2022. Recently a new report has pillared the information.
A paywalled report from the Taiwanese publication, DigiTimes, states “VCM suppliers see no cutback in orders for new iPhones: VCM (voice coil motor) and other component suppliers have still seen no cutback in orders for the new iPhones, and are gearing up for shipments for the next generation of Apple’s iPhone SE series slated for launch in the first half of 2022, according to industry sources.”
The last information on the design of the upcoming iPhone SE model lightens up the similarity with its previous generation. In this case, a new addition will be its A15 Bionic chip that might support the 5G connectivity this time, making it the first 5G smartphone of the iPhone SE series.
As per rumors that we have come across before, the third-generation iPhone SE is certain to support 5G, it will have the same A15 Bionic chipset as the iPhone 13 models. However, the design will be the same with Home Button and Touch ID. An ‘iPhone SE Plus‘ is also reportedly in the works, but it is unclear whether it is released in 2022.
There is also a slight chance that Apple might redesign the upcoming iPhone SE (2022) as it has already discontinued the iPhone XR models. So, in this case, there remains a slight chance that we might witness a new software and as well as a new hardware redesign.
Using the iPhone XR was also advantageous in other areas, such as giving users an increased screen size with its 6.1″ LCD screen, and that larger footprint led to a bigger battery. The 2020 iPhone SE was just another rebranded iPhone 8 with updated specs, but due to its smaller size, the battery life was sacrificed, and it touted an older design that had chunky top and bottom bezels, which may have put off customers.
