Apple launched its Apple Music back in 2015. From that very beginning Beats 1, the 24/7 music radio station operated and owned by Apple, is “delivering the best in-depth artist interviews, more global exclusives and premieres than anywhere else, and unique programming that produces culture-moving, news-making moments”. Now, yesterday (18th August) Apple declared that this Beats 1 will be renamed as Apple Music 1 and two more radio stations will be started – Apple Music Hits that will deliver songs from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, and Apple Music Country to deliver country music.
Apple Music Hits
Apple started this radio station ‘Apple Music Hits’ to serve hit songs from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s catalogs. Listeners will get remarkable new shows from various artists and hosts along with the stories behind the tracks.
The hosts are Jayde Donovan, Estelle, Lowkey, Jenn Marino, Sabi, the duo of Nicole Sky and Natalie Sky, George Stroumboulopoulos, and Ari Melber. There are some other hosts too. The artists, fans can hear, are Backstreet Boys, Ciara, Mark Hoppus, Huey Lewis, Alanis Morissette, Snoop Dogg, Meghan Trainor, Shania Twain, and more.
Apple Music Country
Where the Apple Music Hits is broadcasting with the playlists of a restricted time period, Apple Music Country is flexible with the musical evolution and expansion around the globe. This radio delivers a mix of the best music of the present time, also introduces the future stars and more. There are so many daily shows along with weekly and exclusive shows hosted by well-known figures.
Apple Music 1
As I mentioned earlier, the Beats 1 that is live from the beginning of Apple Music is just renamed as Apple Music 1. Apart from the naming, all the shows, track content, and all remain the same as earlier.
