Finally, the Cupertino giant has confirmed the highly anticipated March 8th event that is rumoured to bring a lot of new things including the upcoming M2 chipset. Apple’s first event of 2022 is on Tuesday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time at the Steve Jobs Theater.
Again, much like 2021, Apple will hold this event as a digital-only gathering and we can expect a lot of new products to get announced next Tuesday.
As of now, as per widespread rumours, you can expect an all-new iPhone SE 3, a new iPad Air with A15 Bionic, at least one Mac with a new Apple M2 chipset, this could be either a new Mac Mini or a new MacBook Pro 13 or even both.
Obviously, the new M2 chip will be a key highlight of this event and it is expected that we will see some significant upgrades with the M2 chip. It will sport the same number of CPU cores as the ‌M1 processor‌ but a bump will be seen in GPU cores, rumoured to feature up to 10 cores.Â
However, if you are waiting for the upcoming MacBook Air, you would have to wait for Apple’s September event to arrive maybe, but we do like to see the M2 chip announced soon. Whatever be it the case, if you are an Apple fan and waiting for new products to arrive don’t forget to tune into Apple’s live stream on March 8th.
