A larger MacBook Air that will purportedly be produced by Apple will reportedly be 15 inches in size, making it equivalent to the MacBook Pro. The 13.6-inch MacBook Air that will be available in 2022 will be considerably smaller than a 15-inch MacBook Air. The size would fall between the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, making it the largest MacBook Air model to date. One rumour states that the MacBook Air will be 15.2 inches in size.
The previously available 15.4-inch MacBook Pro would be replaced with a 15.2-inch MacBook Air, which would be 0.2 inches smaller. If it has reduced bezels like the 2022 MacBook Air, a 15-inch MacBook Air might be visibly smaller than a 15.4-inch MacBook Pro.
It is anticipated that the 15-inch MacBook Air will be based on the 2022 13-inch MacBook Air, which itself takes design cues from the MacBook Pro. It will be flat-edged, include a sizable Force Touch trackpad, a keyboard with function keys, and not have a fan.
Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Air is not anticipated to incorporate Mini-LED or ProMotion display technology since these features are only offered in MacBook Pro versions.
Apple is creating a 15-inch notebook for a 2023 release, claims Apple expert Ming-Chi Kuo. Despite the fact that he didn’t state it, it seems likely given previous rumours that this Mac would be a MacBook Air.
According to Kuo, the 15-inch MacBook will support both M2 and M2 Pro processors. The M2 processor in the 2022 MacBook Air has an 8-core GPU and can accommodate up to a 10-core GPU, but the details of the M2 Pro are still a mystery.
While some rumors have referred to Apple’s 15-inch gadget as an Air, Kuo noted that it might not be a member of the MacBook Air family. The larger 15-inch MacBook might debut as early as the spring of 2023, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. According to Kuo and display analyst Ross Young, the 15-inch gadget won’t be released until the second quarter of 2023 or later.
