Apple is removing mask requirements for its employees

The Cupertino giant along with other tech companies are keen on opening their offices for employees soon and now according to Bloomberg, Apple is set to change its mask requirements for employees.

Interestingly, Apple employees will not have to wear masks where “local indoor-mask mandates have been eliminated,” while masks will become optional for retail workers from Friday for selected locations.

The Verge reports that Apple has already dropped mask requirements for customers in several states, however, the employees were still required to wear masks. Now, this means the Cupertino giant is relaxing the rules as it did previously when COVID was less back in June but again implied restrictions in July only when cases started to rise.

So, it’s still unclear when Apple will fully reopen its offices but it is rumoured that it might soon ask its employees in small numbers to return to the office. Its CEO Tim Cook told staffers in a memo that the return to work date was “yet to be determined,” however, as suspected there will be a hybrid work lifestyle soon.
