According to recent reports, Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models later this year, with significant changes expected for all four models. The standard models are rumored to receive upgrades such as Dynamic Island and USB-C, while the ‘Pro’ models may feature an Action Button and a potentially elongated Volume Button. However, even more substantial design enhancements are expected for next year’s iPhone 16 Pro models, particularly in terms of display size.

Initially, it was speculated that the iPhone 15 Pro models would adopt a solid-state button solution. However, due to production or technical issues, Apple has reportedly reserved this feature for the iPhone 16 Pro models, which are slated for release next year. As a result, this year’s iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to come with physical Volume and Power buttons, along with an Apple Watch Ultra-like Action Button.

Display analyst Ross Young has indicated that only the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a larger 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max or iPhone 16 Ultra will boast a 6.9-inch display.

This information, shared by Ross Young, suggests that the larger display upgrades will be exclusive to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models. The standard models will likely retain the same display sizes as the current models.

While Apple has already streamlined the iPhone lineup with two 6.1-inch and two 6.69-inch models, the gap in display size is expected to widen next year.

Exact details regarding the display size will be shared by the analyst at the upcoming Display Week Conference. Apple appears to be introducing more differentiating features between the standard and ‘Pro’ iPhone models. This year, the iPhone 15 Pro models are rumored to feature remarkably slim bezels, while the standard models are expected to retain their existing bezel sizes.

While it’s uncertain if Apple plans to increase the display size of the iPhone 15 Pro models alongside the slimmer bezels, reports indicate that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will indeed come with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively.

The iPhone 16 Pro models are anticipated to bring additional changes, such as the adoption of new solid-state buttons. The introduction of these buttons could potentially offer various features, although exact details are yet to be revealed.
