Apple has not even unveiled the iPhone 12 series of the year and we are here with the news of next-gen iPhone news. Rumors are spreading about the iPhone 13 series and the iPhone SE 3rd generation. The news has been shared from Mizuho Securities via Ross Young. In his tweet Ross has mention two seperate news about the future iPhone SE model that will be the successor of the iPhone 12 SE 2020 and on the other hand he has also mentioned some interesting news about the flagship iPhone 13 models.
Let’s start from the budget segment, the Apple iPhone SE 2020 is the new budget iPhone of this year. Now according to Ross 2021 will not be the year for another successor of the SE model, but it will be pushed back to 2022. So if you are wondering why push back more than a year then the reason is quite simple, Apple will integrate 5G connectivity with it, and 5G in a budget segment is not the style of Apple. Seems it will have a 6.06-inch LCD screen, dual rear camera system same as iPhone 11, no Face ID but a fingerprint sensor.
Now the flagship segment is more interesting because we will witness iPhone 13 series smartphones in four different variants. The four devices will launch in 2021 as the yearly launch of the brand. Apple iPhone 13 range will come with a 6.67-inch Pro Max, 6.06-inch Pro, 6.06-inch regular, and a 5.42-inch “mini” variant. According to Ross, all four devices will feature OLED panels. These OLED panels will be supplied by Samsung (SDC) for the Pro Max model, LG and BOE will provide for the Pro and regular smartphones, while SDC and LG for the “mini” iPhone 13.
The main attraction will be 5G connectivity for these devices and according to Ross, mmWave 5G and sub 6 GHz connectivity will be available on the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro, while the other two devices will have to settle for sub 6 GHz 5G. Even the Pro models will have a variable refresh rate by utilizing ProMotion, triple rear cameras, and TOF sensors. Whereas, the non-Pro models will be settled with dual-rear camera modules.
