This year, the launch of the iPhone 12 lineup has got a little bit delayed for the global pandemic situation. Despite this challenge, iPhone 12 has become the world’s highest-selling 5G smartphone model in October 2020, which means only within two weeks after its launch, it has acquired this milestone.
As per the recent market statistics, the stander iPhone 12 has taken the share of 16 percent of the global 5G smartphone market whereas the high-end iPhone 12 Pro has acquired second place with an 8 percent market share. In terms of the third place of this lineup, it has been acquired by another beast from South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G with a 4 percent market share.
Apart from it, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro together are the main reason for nearly a fourth of the total 5G smartphone sales in October, and moreover, iPhone 12 has put its name being seventh into the top 10 best selling list of 5G smartphones from January to October period of 2020. So, it is a huge achievement for a smartphone manufacturer to be in this state only within two weeks after getting launched and even suffered from stock and inventory issues.
There is more than one reason for this kind of achievement by iPhone 12. First of all, it’s 5G compatibility. It is the very-first lineup from Apple having compatibility with the 5G network. Secondly, its price. Yes, it will sound weird to someone as Apple is known for its very high price range of every one of its devices. But, if we check the lineup of iPhone 12, the vanilla iPhone 12 pricing does not have too much difference from the iPhone 12 mini. So, most of the buyers can go to the standard iPhone 12 in place of the mini. The latest A14 Bionic chip with its excellence is another reason for a huge sale of it. There are a lot of other reasons as well for the massive sale of the iPhone 12 and that too happened only within two weeks after its launch.
