iPhone 13 is likely to be produced in India at the Foxconn facility from this April

In the second quarter of the year, which runs from April to June, Apple plans to expand manufacturing of its current flagship models, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, by 10 million units. Both versions are likely to be in high demand due to their appealing list of features, as well as a modest design update.

As Apple prepares to debut the iPhone 14 series in the coming months, it may be the last time it encourages suppliers to raise the production of current-generation handsets.

“Apple is rumored to expand its production plan for the iPhone 13 in the second quarter of 2022. Among them, the production of high-end models of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max is planned to increase by about 10 million units, and relevant Apple supply chain players are expected to benefit.”

Apple supply chain reportedly getting better

According to the research, Apple’s supply chain is improving because previously, these suppliers were compelled to partially or close their operations, resulting in a reduction in the availability of iPhones, iPods, Macs, and other Apple products. According to the source, Apple has ordered suppliers to raise production of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max because demand has been stable, at least for these two versions.

Aside from the notch reduction, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are now the only two versions that offer Apple’s ProMotion technology, which allows both flagships to refresh their displays at 120Hz. Both handsets’ cameras have improved, and Apple has increased battery capacity, which is why critics and customers alike are pleased with the amount of screen time both devices produce.

After the iPhone 14, Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max arrive, it’s expected that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be formally discontinued, thus this could be the final time Apple requests suppliers to ramp up production, at least for these two models.
