Apple Aims to Increase Revenue by Hiking Prices on iPhone 15 Pro Models Amidst Market Challenges

iPhone 15 Pro Price Hike? – All You Need to Know

According to a report from sources who wish to remain anonymous but are familiar with the matter, Apple is reportedly planning to boost its overall revenue by increasing the prices of its upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models, despite a projected decline in the overall smartphone market.

This move comes as Apple aims to separate the Pro and non-Pro devices even further in terms of pricing, especially since the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to gain several features currently exclusive to the Pro models, such as Dynamic Island and a high-resolution 48-megapixel camera.

The Price Hike of iPhone 15 Pro Models

The notion of raising the prices for the Pro models is not entirely new, as there were earlier rumors in May suggesting the same strategy due to the enhanced features in the standard models. The aim is to justify the price difference between the two tiers and cater to users looking for more advanced and exclusive capabilities in the Pro versions.

Moreover, this price increase prediction was already made back in March by Jeff Pu, a tech analyst at Haitong International Securities, a Hong Kong-based investment firm. It appears that Apple is determined to maintain its premium positioning in the market, even if it means crossing the $1,000 mark for both high-end iPhone models for the first time.

The announcement of the iPhone 15 series is expected in September, although there are concerns about supply constraints for the Pro models. Speculations suggest that the entire series of devices is said to come with a USB-C port, incorporate Dynamic Island technology, and have subtly curved frames. However, additional exciting features and changes are anticipated specifically for the Pro models.

Despite the ambitious plans for the iPhone 15 series, Apple is reportedly asking its suppliers to produce approximately 85 million units this year, a quantity that is similar to the previous year’s production levels. This indicates Apple’s confidence in the demand for their new lineup, despite the overall challenges in the smartphone market.
