The pictures have been confirmed on the screen that Apple says, “iPhone can recognize the unique features across the eye area to authenticate” but also give the warning that the Face ID is going to be more accurate than if you have it set not to work with the mask.

It is true that not everyone will be able for taking the advantage of this particular feature. There is also one colleague who confirmed to work on his iPhone 12, 9to5Mac reports, and also it only working on the iPhone 12 and 13 lines. They also had not able to utilize it on a 2018 iPad Pro.

The pandemic hit people badly and also has been clamouring for Apple and adding a way to let the people unlock iPhones when still wearing masks. Apple has introduced several updates for help- iOS 13.5 can detect that you are wearing a mask and quickly ask you for your passcode instead of trying the authentication of the face, and 14.5 lets people with Apple Watches can use Face ID when wearing the mask. It also seems that unlock for anyone wearing the mask as long as the Apple Watch is close to the smartphone.
