Apple Begins Development on iOS 19, macOS 16, watchOS 12, and visionOS 3

Following the availability of iOS 18 during WWDC last month, Apple is now concentrating on an update to its product software. Apple Started Working on iOS 19, macOS 16, watchOS 12, and visionOS 3 due next year as per the report. Apple has started the initial development of its 2025 marquee operating systems, which are known internally as Luck for iOS 19, Cheer for macOS 16, Nepali on watchOS 12, and Discovery in visionOS 3.

Although iOS 18, macOS 15 Sequoia, watchOS 11 and visionOS2 are for well in advance of going to the public domain Apple also is already far along with its subsequent major updates as it fits with their usual schedule work. Ahead of these features being detailed at a later date, the early notice is important as it will allow those testing out new software to plan ahead in advance for products set to launch next year.

The report suggests that the new visionOS 3 work may be tied to updates for next year’s Vision Pro headset which is likely to feature Apple Intelligence. Public betas for iOS 18, macOS 15 Sequoia, watchOS 11, and visionOS a few weeks later will likely drop in the following month, before their official launches that are otherwise planned this year.

The tech giant launched recently iOS 18 Beta 2 for developers, bringing new improvements to feed the iPhone user experience. Notably, iOS 18 Beta 2 introduces the iPhone mirroring feature, highlighted during the WWDC 2024 keynote. This feature enables users to mirror their iPhone screens onto a Mac, allowing seamless interaction without unlocking the smartphone. Users can manage calls, receive notifications, control apps, and transfer files between devices via a simple drag-and-drop mechanism.

To utilize the iPhone mirroring feature, users need to pair their iPhone with a Mac running macOS Sequoia beta 2, promoting productivity and offering a cohesive experience across Apple devices.
