Finally, the Cupertino giant has given the date for the launch of their upcoming ARM-based notebooks and products this month. As we were expecting Apple to launch in the second week, Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed the new launch event called ‘One More Thing’ will be held on November 10 at 10:00 AM PST.
Obviously, this event means a lot for Apple and us who have waited to see ARM powered Macs and Apple devices. Well, ARM based chips are the future but it needs more refining and finetuning which Apple is really capable.
What can we expect from the event?
It will be interesting to see how Apple pushes its limits on its new products even though having the same architecture in the core. The upcoming A14X Bionic chip is powering these Macs, and it will be interesting to see how Apple’s new 5nm chip performs on new products.
As for now, we know the 12-inch MacBook Air will be powered by Apple Silicon and will have a starting price of $849 only. The new MacBook will provide an excellent battery life of up to 15 to 20 hours along with 0.9Kg weight and a single USB-C port as per the rumors.
Whereas, the MacBook Pro 13 will feature the Magic Keyboard and have thinner bezels as-in a large screen in a smaller form factor, making this the most portable MacBook Pro ever. It will also feature a 1080p webcam, while most other specs will remain the same as the current-gen MacBook Pro 13. As for now, the price of the new MacBook Pro 13 could start at $1099 for the ARM-based variant.
It is also rumored that even though Apple could actually announce new MacBooks with A14X chip, we could also see a possibility of Apple previewing us their new desktop-class A14T chip based on the 5nm process built for iMac that may launch next year.
