Appear Inc. launches World’s first Graphene Battery-powered smartphone

San Francisco based tech company, Appear Inc., has announced on Friday, the launch of the world’s lightest and first graphene battery-powered smartphone with innovative water-resistant technology. The interest in the phone is showing as Appear has begun receiving orders and projections call for a million units sold in the first six months. By March 2021, the smartphone would be available in stores and major online retailers.

Foxconn Will Help Meet Growing Demands

Foxconn is a well-known and trusted manufacturer for many popular brands of smartphones including BlackBerry, iPhone, and Nokia, and consumer electronic products including iPad, PlayStation, and Xbox. Appear has partnered with Foxconn India for its growing manufacturing needs as Foxconn has the experience, expertise, and facilities to meet Appear’s high-quality standards.

The Phone Features Graphene Fast-Charge Battery

Appear, known to create innovative products using advanced material science, has shown its caliber with this smartphone powered by Qualcomm processors. The Graphene Super 20 Power Bank by Appear, recharges fully in 20 minutes using the company’s proprietary Fast Charge battery technology, which has now been incorporated in a smartphone successfully.

Graphene, similar to graphite, has revolutionized many areas of manufacturing due to its unique properties, it is composed purely of carbon. Graphene is lightweight and one of the most conductive materials even though it is stronger than steel. This makes it the correct material to act as a supercapacitor for Appear’s revolutionary Fast Charge Technology. It is a known fact in the technology industry that graphene-enhanced Li-ion batteries have longer lifespans and faster charging times.

The Smartphone Is Complete With Water Resilient Technology

A mind-boggling stat about the enmity between water and smartphones is that 11% of smartphones are damaged by water, every year, that is 165 million phones per year or 452,000 per day! As consumers become more dependent on their smartphones, water protection is a necessary feature added in the new Appear smartphone. This new smartphone is the perfect option for the eco-conscious consumer as building more resilient phones will also help reduce growing electronic waste.

Appear designed the Buoyant and Levitating Speakers

The water-resistant technology was first debuted by Appear in its Buoyant Speakers, proving the success of the company’s technology in pools across the world. However, the real show-stopper by Appear has been its levitating speakers. When powered, the speaker rises up and hovers over the speaker box. The company has plans to license the technology across many industries and countries.

Available in March 2021

Appear has partnered with Amazon, Sharaf DG, and many more e-tailers as it is expecting high consumer demand. To ensure that its smartphones are available globally, the company will be working with 70+ distributors. They are expected to be available in March 2021, you can visit Appear for further details.
