Anupama Parameswaran’s “Anniyan Effect”: Inside Her 2-Year Narcissistic Relationship

Some breakups don’t just end quietly — they force people to name what they survived. That’s exactly what Anupama Parameswaran did when she finally broke her silence, comparing her two-year relationship to living with Anniyan — one day loving, the next unrecognizable.

What Actually Happened with Anupama Parameswaran?

Speaking on a podcast with host Dhanya Varma, the actress revealed she endured two years of what she called narcissistic abuse — a cycle of love-bombing, sudden cruelty, and tearful apologies that repeated on loop. She didn’t name her ex-partner, but the emotional weight of her words spoke volumes about why her recent “healing” post wasn’t just another social media moment — it was years in the making.

Why This Story Matters

Public conversations like this chip away at the stigma around emotional abuse — especially when they come from someone in the spotlight, where every relationship is dissected online. Anupama’s honesty reframes the narrative: healing isn’t a single Instagram caption, it’s a process that starts long before anyone sees it.

The Bigger Picture

Her post comes amid persistent breakup rumors linking her to actor Dhruv Vikram, whom she reportedly grew close to while filming Bison Kaalamaadan. Neither has confirmed a relationship — past or present — but the timing has only fueled speculation.

What stands out most, though, isn’t the mystery of who — it’s her decision to speak up at all, turning private pain into a public reminder that healing is valid, even when it takes years to show.
