Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has always wanted to bring his former player Antony from Ajax. The deal was delayed throughout the transfer window. It was completed during the last few days of the transfer window after Antony went public with his wish to leave Ajax and join Manchester United.
The Brazilian scored on his debut at Old Trafford as United ended Arsenal’s perfect start to the season. He has brought flair and skills on the ball with him, and it has once again excited the United fans.
Antony relishes sharing moments with Cristiano Ronaldo
Antony has now talked about learning from Cristiano Ronaldo. He told MUTV: “I’ve come to help my team-mates. Regardless of age, there’s immense talent in all the players.
“Words can’t describe Cristiano, the best in the world. In just a few days, I’ve learnt a lot from him. He has an extraordinary mind and, whenever I talk to him, I take a lot from it.
“I’m sure that we have a strong attack and it’s very promising for the future.”
Antony also talked about his style of play. He said: “I’ve always done this. Not just here but for all the teams I’ve played for. I’ve been doing it ever since I was a child. I’ve always done it – it’s one of my characteristics.”
“I am adapting and getting used to things here already. Entertaining is something I’ve always liked and I’ll continue doing it.”
