What Is Poser About?
The premise is deliciously twisted. Poser follows two estranged former best friends who are thrown back into each other’s orbits when one of them is handed a chance to finally live the life she always wanted. What starts as an opportunity quickly unravels into a dark psychological game of revenge, betrayal, and heartbreak — with consequences that ripple far beyond just the two of them.
Think obsession, identity, and the complicated wreckage of old friendships. It’s giving You meets Cruel Summer energy, and honestly? We’re here for every second of it.

All three character details are being kept tightly under wraps — which, honestly, only adds to the intrigue. The showrunner, Lauren Iungerich, is no stranger to complex character-driven stories, having previously worked on Awkward and On My Block.
Why This Could Be a Big Deal
Netflix has been doubling down on psychological thrillers — and Poser checks every box: a proven creator, a genuinely exciting cast crossing comedy and drama boundaries, and a plot built entirely on tension and misdirection. It’s exactly the kind of show that gets people talking.
