Angel Di Maria has provided a hint about his future in a recent interview, with a return to Argentina looking likely. After leaving PSG this summer upon the expiry of his contract, the veteran joined Juventus on a one-year deal.
However, his fitness has been a recurring problem with three different injuries so far. He will be fit for the World Cup, but has only played around 300 minutes across all competitions.

“The truth is that for some time I had in mind to finish my career at Rosario Central, where I started.
“It is true that nowadays things at the club are not easy, but I support this idea of mine, because I would like to, even just for a year, to fully enjoy Argentine football and the team I was born into,” the 34-year-old said.
It seems likely that the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be the last for the former Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United forward. And thereafter, a return to his native country in 2023 could be a possibility if an agreement can be reached between the two parties.
For now, the competition in Qatar remains the focus for Angel Di Maria with the injury right now. And soon, it will be time to decide his club future if he doesn’t renew with Juventus.
