Angad Hasija was reading the script for Tumm Se Tumm Tak when a familiar pull hit him. There, in the character of Yashvardhan, he found echoes of a role that changed his life years ago. In an exclusive interview published on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the actor opened up about the strange, emotional symmetry between his past and present.

“I never imagined life would come full circle like this,” Hasija said, reflecting on how Yashvardhan instantly reminded him of Alekh — the character that made him a household name in Indian television.

The Moment It All Came Back

For Hasija, the connection wasn’t gradual. It was instant. The moment he met Yashvardhan on the page, Alekh’s shadow fell across the room. Both characters, he explained, carry a weight that demands more than surface-level acting — they require an actor to dig into emotional reserves he thought he had long retired.

That kind of recognition is rare in an actor’s career. Most performers spend decades chasing a role that resonates the way Alekh did. Hasija, it seems, has found one that does — and it arrived when he least expected it.

From Alekh to Yashvardhan: A Full-Circle Journey

Long-time television audiences remember exactly where they were when Alekh walked into Sapna Babul Ka.. Bidaai. The show became a cultural touchstone, and Hasija’s portrayal turned him into one of the most recognised faces on Indian television. Alekh wasn’t just a role; it was a launchpad.

Now, years later, Yashvardhan in Tumm Se Tumm Tak appears to carry that same emotional intensity. Hasija admitted he never imagined he would revisit that creative space again. The comparison, he suggested, is both a compliment and a challenge — a benchmark he now has to live up to all over again.

Why This Comparison Matters

Here’s the thing: when an actor openly compares a new role to an iconic one, the stakes rise immediately. Fans of Bidaai will walk into Tumm Se Tumm Tak with expectations shaped by nostalgia. That’s a double-edged sword — the built-in affection on one side, the impossible bar on the other.

For Hasija, though, the comparison seems less like pressure and more like validation. It confirms that he’s still drawn to the kind of complex, layered storytelling that defined his early career. And for viewers, it promises a performance that runs deeper than the usual television fare.

What’s Next for Yashvardhan

The big question now is whether Yashvardhan will earn the same place in viewers’ hearts that Alekh once commanded. Early buzz around Tumm Se Tumm Tak suggests the show is positioning itself as a character-driven drama, and Hasija’s casting is clearly central to that pitch.

The actor, meanwhile, sounds ready for the ride. Coming full circle, he suggested, isn’t about repeating the past — it’s about proving how far you’ve come since. With Yashvardhan, he gets that chance. Audiences will soon decide if lightning can strike twice.

The script for Tumm Se Tumm Tak sat in front of Angad Hasija, and one name kept dragging him back to the past. Yashvardhan. The more he read, the clearer the image became — Alekh, the role that turned him into a television star. In an exclusive interview published Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Hasija finally said it out loud: the two characters are connected in his mind.

“I never imagined life would come full circle like this,” he admitted, describing how Yashvardhan instantly reminded him of Alekh.
