Android’s latest operating system, that is the Android 12, will soon be hitting our smartphones later in 2021. Coming to the OS, we have seen various new features coming to the OS which will completely redefine the Android user experience.
The creator of Android, Google also has Android Auto which is like the Apple CarPlay. The interface allows modern vehicles to use and display apps such as Maps, YouTube, Messages, and Spotify for Android while on the road. However, the latest Android 12 set to be released later this year will be changing the user interface of the Android Auto to a major extent.
We already have available the beta version of Android 12 which shows the latest updates and changes that will affect the Android Auto. Some of the users reported that while trying to start Android Auto for Phone Screens to getting into their cars, they are now met with a message that they should “try the new Google Assistant Driving Mode” instead.
While this pop-up message is making many wonders as to whether this is an optional transition from Android Auto, however, Google has now confirmed that Assistant Driving Mode will take over as “the built-in mobile driving experience” once a device upgrades to Android 12.
However, Google ensures that this in no way will affect the Auto on the car’s actual screen and the company also reassured its users that their favorite Android Auto is not going anywhere. These will just be some additional features and benefits that will be coming to Android Auto after receiving aid from Android 12.
