Android 12 Beta 4 Leak reveals certain specs of the Pixel 6

Android 12 Beta 4 has begun to roll out to Pixel devices, a newer version of the Google Camera app hints towards some Samsung-made components that we can expect to be featured in the upcoming Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro.

An XDA Developers member cstark27 found a string in a new APK leak titled ‘gn1_wide_p21’ that suggests the primary sensor belonging to the Pixel 6 series will be a 50MP Samsung GN1. Additionally, the member also discovered a reference to the ‘g5123b’ modem, a reference that is mapped to five Google devices with the following codenames:

The ‘g5123b’ modem leak suggests that Samsung’s Exynos 5123 will be arriving for all five of these handsets, and we will hopefully get to see them in the Pixel 6 series first.

The good news is it supports both mmWave and sub-6GHz networks, which is one reason why both flagships are expected to be widely available in the United States. Google’s Tensor is also expected to be mass-produced using Samsung’s 5nm technology, with a previous rumour indicating that the custom SoC would be an unreleased member of the Exynos family.

With this leak, it is also confirmed that Google and Samsung will have a solid partnership and even though Qualcomm has said that it will continue to work with Google as far as the Snapdragon chipsets go, we are yet to see any evidence of that happening for now.
