Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Andre Ayew on a free transfer. The winger becomes their 30th signing of the season, a record-extending number for the club.

The Ghana captain has signed with them on a short-term deal until the end of the 22/23. There hasn’t been any option to extend the deal included in the contract as things stand.

“It’s a great feeling to sign for Nottingham Forest,” Andre Ayew said upon being unveiled as a new signing. “Steve Cooper is someone who knows me very well and knows how to work with me both on and off the pitch. We have a strong relationship, he’s a special coach and a special human being and someone who I really look up to.”

“I know what I can bring to the team, I’m ready to give my all and make sure that we are able to stay in the Premier League.”

The 33-year-old brings a ton of experience with him to the team, who are battling relegation. Ayew has scored 35 goals in 84 games for Swansea in the past, where he also worked with Steve Cooper. The veteran left Qatari side Al Sadd recently, and has now returned to England for a short spell.

Last season, he scored 15 goals in 21 games and helped the team win the Qatar Stars League. With the likes of Felipe, Keylor Navas and now, Ayew joining the team, it will all comes down to Steve Cooper being able to get the best out of the team to survive in the top flight.
